Jinn Projects ("we", "us", "our") is a product of Jinn Studios LLC, registered at Shams Business Center, Sharjah Media City Free Zone, Al Messaned, Sharjah, UAE. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use jinn.report (the "Platform").

By using the Platform you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform.

• Profile data: display name, avatar, role title, and any other information you add to your profile.
• Content: project names and descriptions, task data, comments, and files you upload to the Platform.
• Communications: messages you send to our support team at support@jinn.report.

• Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, timestamps, and error logs, collected to improve the Platform.
• Session data: PHP session identifiers stored in HTTP-only, SameSite cookies for authentication.
• Server logs: IP address, browser user-agent, and referrer, retained for up to 30 days.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and workspace.
• To deliver core Platform features: projects, tasks, files, comments, and notifications.
• To send transactional emails: email verification, password reset, task comment notifications.
• To respond to support requests sent to support@jinn.report.
• To detect, investigate, and prevent abuse or security incidents.
• To improve and develop the Platform (using aggregated, anonymised data).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

• Service providers: SMTP email delivery providers (for transactional email only), and server infrastructure providers. These processors are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us.
• Legal obligations: if required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, unless longer retention is required by law. Server access logs are retained for 30 days.

We protect your data using industry-standard measures including bcrypt password hashing, HTTP-only session cookies, and encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@jinn.report. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

The Platform uses a single session cookie (HTTP-only, SameSite=Lax) for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is required for strictly necessary cookies.

8. Children

The Platform is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at support@jinn.report and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email if we make material changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
